Ruth C. Thatcher

Ruth C. Thatcher, 88 of Elkton, MD, died Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. Born in Trenton, NJ, on February 18, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and the late Evelyn Alice Tindall Weiss. She was the wife of the late James Thatcher who died in 1970. Before her retirement, Mrs. Thatcher worked in Property Management. She is survived by two daughters: Marjorie E. Laporta of North East, MD and Elizabeth Royer of Levittown, PA; three grandchildren: Michael Ferguson of Philadelphia, PA, Tracy Holley of Bensalem, PA and Summer Brown of Jamison, PA; three great grandchildren: Rileigh Ferguson of Manahawkin, NJ, Victoria Moody and Jake Kasloski both of Bensalem, PA; and many nieces and nephews. Private graveside services will be held on Friday, September 9, 2011 at Ewing Church Cemetery, Trenton, NJ.
