Ruth Corrine (Allen) Beal

Ruth Corrine Beal, 89 of Wilmington, DE, died Thursday, May 30, 2013 at home .

Born in Elkton, MD, on June 3, 1923, she was the daughter of the late William and the late Leona (McNatt) Allen.  She was the wife of the late Everett Eugene Beal who died Aug. 1, 2001.

Mrs. Beal enjoyed reading, gardening and crocheting.

She is survived by her 4 daughters: Shirley Callahan and husband John of Wilmington, DE, Brenda Beal of Newark, DE, Sandra Beal of Wilmington, DE, Robin Slade and husband Bill of Elkton, MD; 1 sister: Mary E. Allen of Elkton, MD; 3 brothers: Bill Allen of North East, MD, Arnold Allen of Wilmington, DE, Richard Allen of Elkton, MD; 9 grandchildren: Cheryl Cooper and husband Larry, Barbara Rorrer and husband Jimmy, Victoria Doughten, Jean Lucatamo and husband Jack, Bryan and Sean Callahan, Erica, Erin  and Lauren Slade; 14 great grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a brother: Edward V. Allen.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM until service time.

Interment will follow in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be sent to Compassionate Care Hospice, 702-B Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE  19805.
