Ruth F. Baker, 92 of Elkton, MD, died Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Caraway Manor, Elkton, MD.
Born in Buena Vista, VA, on April 28, 1923, she was the daughter of the late James Wade and the late Lemma May (McCullough) Fix. She was the wife of the late Arthur Ellsworth Baker who died on February 9, 2015.
Mrs. Baker was a secretary for the U.S. Government, working at the Pentagon and the IRS.
She attended Sandy Cove Ministries, North East, MD, where she loved to volunteer; was a member of UHCC 5th District Ladies Aux. and the U.S. Coast Guard Aux.
She is survived by a sister: Edna Hurst of Culpepper, VA.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother and his wife: the late, William and Margot Fix; her sister: the late Marian Mauck; and her brother: the late, James Eugene Fix.
Graveside service, conducted by Rev. Dr. Stephen D. Hokuf will be held Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Asbury Cemetery, Port Deposit, MD.
