Ruby Arlene (Cook) Thompson

Ruby Arlene Thompson, 91 of Conowingo, MD, died Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at home.

Born in Rockview, WV, on November 13, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. and the late Nyanza Cook.

She retired from Giant Foods where she worked as a cashier.

Mrs. Thompson was a devote Christian and member of Calvary Baptist Church, Bel Air, MD.  She enjoyed many different aspects of life.  Her strength and faith helped her endure a lot over the years.

She is survived by her loving son: James L. Thompson, Jr. and his wife, Sally of Conowingo, MD; and 2 siblings: William Cook and Pauline Raymond both of Pineville, WV.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by 2 siblings: Bernard Cook and Geneva Mason.

Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Ray Graham will be held Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where the family will receive guests beginning at 10:00 am.

Interment will follow in West Nottingham Cemetery, Colora, MD.
