Ruby Jean (Gilbert) Rycroft

Mrs. Ruby Jean Gilbert Rycroft, 72, a resident of Kindley Rd. past away Sunday October 21, 2018 at her residence. She was born January 22, 1946 in Cecil County, MD daughter of the late John Clarrington Gilbert and Mabel Marie Moats Gilbert.

Ruby was a homemaker and worked in the furniture industry for many years. She was of the Baptist Faith, loved cooking and being a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by a sister, Betty Johnson and one brother, John “Sam” Gilbert. She was married to Bobby Rycroft, who also preceded her in death. Surviving is one daughter, Bonnie Riddle of Elkton, MD; two sons, Mark Riddle of Edgewater, MD and Eric Riddle and wife Karyn of Elkton, MD; sister, Virginia Floyd of Thomasville; three brothers, David Gilbert of Rising Sun, MD, Dennis Gilbert and wife Deborah of Port Deposit, MD, and Dallas Gilbert and wife Tina of Lakeland, FL; and two grandchildren, Ian Riddle and Cameron Riddle.

A memorial graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Gilpin Manor Memorial Park Cemetery in Elkton, MD at 2:00 PM with Rev. Dennis Gilbert officiating.  No formal visitation will be held.  Memorials may be directed to Tabitha’s Pantry, in care of, Crouch Funeral Home, 127 S.
