Rubin Keith Sanders, Sr.
He was born in Elkton, MD, on January 26, 1959, the son of Anna (Hamm) Sanders of Elkton, MD and the late Elton Sanders. He was the husband of Sandra “Penny” Sanders.
Keith worked hanging drywall for 22 years with his brother Ricky. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, playing ball, cooking out and gardening. He also enjoyed playing cards, pool and watching football, especially the Bengals. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and was a wonderful loving husband for 36 years. He was an inspiration to our family and everyone who knew him.
In addition to his wife and mother, survivors include: 3 sons: Keith, Jr., Matthew and Jeremy(fiancé’ Bryanna); a daughter: Tonya Sykes; 2 brothers: Mike and Ricky (Lisa); a sister: Debi Poff (Mark); and 6 grandchildren: Elijah, Tyler, Alissa, Mikayla, Tiara and Jacob.
He was preceded in death by his best friend Richard Shrewsbury.
Funeral Services, conducted by Rev. Terry Goodwin will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 7:00 PM at North East Church of God, 302 East Thomas Ave., North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 5:30 PM until service time.
