Ross B. Cameron, Jr., 73 of Hances Point, North East, MD, died Saturday, February 14, 2015 in the Bel Air Assisted Living, Bel Air, MD.

Born in Asbury Park, NJ on March 26, 1941, he was the son of the late Ross B. Cameron Sr. and Phyllis (Reid) Cameron of Hances Point, North East, Maryland.

He spent most of his professional career as President of Charms Candy Company, Covington, Tennessee, working alongside his brother Reid; his Uncle Walter Reid III; and his cousin William Reid.  Collectively they helped develop the business into one of the largest privately held confectionary companies in the United States.  After the sale of the company in 1988, Ross helped create a successful real estate development firm in Red Bank, New Jersey with business partners Jay Herman and Walter Reid III.  In his retirement years, Ross enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, as well as tending to his farm.

Ross had served on several Boards of Directors including West Nottingham Academy, Peoples Bank, Central Jersey Bank and Trust Company, The Boy Scouts of America, and Bainbridge Development. He also enjoyed being a part of establishing the Charter Government of Cecil County.

Survived by his wife: Roxanne Glessner Cameron; daughter: Kendall Reid Cameron of Philadelphia, PA; Sons: Walter Scott Cameron of Tinton Falls, NJ and Taylor Fields Cameron of Middletown, DE;  Step sons: Shane Robert Glessner of Rising Sun, MD and Austin Edward Glessner of Perryville, MD;  Brother, Reid B Cameron, Hances Point, North East, MD; and 4 grandchildren.

Memorial services, conducted by Pastor Jess Bousa will be held Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. Family and friends may call from 1:00 pm until service time on Saturday.

According to his wishes, interment will be private at the St. Mary Anne's Cemetery, North East, MD.
