Rosa Lee (Butler) Fitzroy

Rosa Lee Fitzroy, 76 of Elkton, MD, died Sunday, February 9, 2014 at home with her loving family by her side.

Born in Beckley, WV, on May 31, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Walter Butler, Sr. and the late Rosie (Boyd) Butler.

Prior to her retirement, she worked as the Bookkeeper for the Town of Chesapeake City for many years.

What she enjoyed most in life was her family and the time she spent with them.

Survivors include:  a son: George F. Fitzroy, III and 2 daughters: Terri Lee Vannoy and Vicki Lyne Holbrook all of Elkton, MD; and 9 grandchildren: David Crockett, Bobbi Jo Crockett, Tara Vannoy, Jay Vannoy, Scott Fitzroy, Kyle Fitzroy, Robbie Daffin, Samantha Daffin and Cyle Holbrook.

Rosa was preceded in death by her beloved husband: George F. “Skip” Fitzroy, Jr. on March 21, 2005 and son: David R. Fitzroy on January 6, 2012; and her brother: Walter Butler, Jr. on September 13, 2002.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 14, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where the family will receive guests beginning at 1:00 pm.

Interment will follow in North East Methodist Cemetery.
