Ronald L. Moore, Sr.
A lifelong resident of Cecil County, he was born in Elkton on December 19, 1942, the son of the late Marshall V. Moore, Sr. and the late Elizabeth (Merideth) Moore. He was the husband of Carol A. Moore who died Nov. 22, 2009.
Mr. Moore retired from General Motors where he worked as an Electrician. He was a member of the UAW and Charlestown Vol. Fire Dept. where he had served as past president. He loved crabbing, fishing and loved “Old Bay”. He enjoyed visiting Market Street Café.
Survivors include his son: Ronald L. Moore, Jr. and wife Duayna of Port Deposit, MD; daughter: Tracey Thomas of Charlestown, MD; 5 grandchildren: Ronald Moore, III, Zachary Moore, Jennifer Thomas, Roger Jones and Bridgette Jones; and 3 great grandchildren: Ryan Jones, Aaliyah Frampton and Bentley Bolyard.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother: Marshall V. Moore, Jr.; and 2 stepbrothers: Lyle Bott and Middy Bott.
Visitation for friends and family will be held Saturday, October 12, 2013 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Charlestown Fire Co. or Seasons Hospice, both in care of the funeral home.
