Ronald William Mackereth

Ronald William Mackereth, 82 of Elkton, MD, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2025.

Born in Baltimore, MD, on May 14, 1942, he was the son of the late Bernard and Bertha (Brady) Mackereth.

A veteran, he served his country in the United States Navy from October 1961 to January 1966 serving aboard carriers U.S.S. Randolph and U.S.S. Lake Champlain.

He is survived by his sister, Patricia Garrett (Mackereth) and his children: Dee Dee Lahmon (Mackereth), Rod Mackereth and Kimberly Mackereth.

Private interment will be held in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, Owings Mills, MD.

The family would like to express its’ gratitude to the Cecil County 911 Operator, Cecil County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Emergency Room Doctors and Nurses at Christiana Hospital (Elkton) for their professionalism and kindness.
