Ronald Charles Dipietro
Born in Jersey City, NJ, on February 18, 1944, he was the son of the late Rocco and the late Edith (Preston) DiPietro.
Mr. DiPietro served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1963-1966. He was a teacher for 31 years with the Cecil County Board of Education.
A longtime member of the North East Lions Club, North East VFW Post 6027 and the Elkton American Legion, he also enjoyed all sports, especially golf, football, ice hockey, baseball, basketball and boating. He was an avid reader. Most of all, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife: Karen (Mikionis) DiPietro; his children: Rick DiPietro of Elkton, MD and Brittany DiPietro Coker of North East, MD; 5 grandchildren: Virginia, Jake and Josie Coker; Audrey and Regan DiPietro; and 3 siblings: Arlene DiPietro of Fairhope, AL, Jeffrey DiPietro of Sussex, NJ and Bonnie DiPietro Fussner of Dublin, OH ; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Jack Cohen, will be held Sunday, January 4, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where the family will receive guests from 1:30 pm until 3:00 pm.
Interment will be private.
