Ronald S. Briones

Ronald Shephard Briones, 74, of North East, MD, died Friday, August 3, 2007 in the Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. Born in Seattle, WA, on September 19, 1932, he was preceded in death by his parents Cornelio and Ethel Shephard Briones. Ron enjoyed Lapidary, golf, gardening, cooking, grilling, fishing and most of all his family. He was an Aviator in the US Army, from 1953 to 1973. He served 1 tour of duty in Korea and 2 tours of duty in Vietnam. He retired from the Army after 20 years of service as a lieutenant colonel. He entered Civilian service with the National Guard Bureau and retired after 25 years of service in 2002. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Nancy S. Briones, son, Charles and wife Ella Briones, son, Daniel Briones, daughter, Lisa Hall and husband Randy, granddaughter, Jamie Holland and husband Dan. Friends may call Tuesday, August 7, 2007 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Wednesday, August 8, 2007 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at 2:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. CH COL Wm. Sean Lee will officiate. Interment with full military honors, North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
