Roger Pugh, 76 of North East, MD, passed away on November 21, 2017 with his family by his side, after a short illness.

Born on June 17, 1941 in Cecil County, MD, he was the son of the late Leonard Franklin Pugh and Angelina (Saccone) Pugh.

Mr. Pugh was retired from the ACME Markets after 35+ years.  After retiring from ACME Markets, he worked for the Graybeal family at Calvert Nursing Home for 7 years.

Roger served in the US Army from September 16, 1959 and was honorable discharged August 31, 1965.

A loving husband, father, son and brother, he was an amazing furniture maker and woodworker.  Roger enjoyed playing golf and working in his yard.  He was active in the North East Little League for many years and continued to be involved in all of his daughter’s activities.  Roger could usually be found tinkering in his garage, hunting for antiques and always looked forward to his “birthday restaurant tour”.  A truly compassionate man, he made a home for many beloved pets over the years.

He will be missed by so very many.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years: Vickie Pugh; daughter: Lisa Pugh; sister: Betty Hollenbaugh; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his brother: Leonard F. Pugh.

Memorial services, conducted by Rev. Ray F. Graham will be held Monday, November 27, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 11:00 am.
