Rodney Austin Messick, Jr., 45 of Elkton, MD, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at home.

Born in Wilmington, DE on October 9, 1974, he was the son of Rodney Austin Messick, Sr. and Nancy McCall.

Rodney enjoyed music and dancing. He was well known for his goofy fun-loving spirit that could bring a smile to everyone’s face. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and watching Eagles football.

Rodney is survived by three daughters: Kala Messick, Nikkia Dunsmore and Calee Dickerson all of Elkton, MD; one son: Rodney A. Messick, III of Elkton, MD; father: Rodney A. Messick, Sr. (Donna) of New Castle, DE; mother: Nancy McCall of Elkton, MD; sister: Shannon Armstrong of New Castle, DE; two brothers: Jeffrey Argo of Newark, DE and Brett Messick of New Castle, DE; mother-in-law: Marilou Anderson of Elkton, MD; and grandson, Jeremih Smith.
