Robert T. Simpers, Sr.

Robert T. Simpers, Sr., 71 of Falkland, NC, formerly of North East, MD Pass away peacefully at home surrounded by his family Thursday, September 8, 2011. Born in North East, MD, on October 18, 1939, he was the son of the late Howard and the late Alma Kist Simpers. . Mr. Simpers was a member of St. Mary Anne's Episcopal Church and enjoyed making musical instruments included banjos and mandolins. Before his retirement he was an equipment operator for Moore & Sons in Arden, NC. Mr. Simpers is survived by his wife of 32 years: Patricia Ann Simpers, five daughters: Angel Bedell of Chester, MD, Tammy Moore of Arden, NC, Kim Harris of Gretna VA, Katrina Wood of Asheville, NC, Cynthia Vandiford of Greenville, NC and six sons: John Simpers of FL, Stephen Simpers Robert T. Simpers, Jr., and Luke Simpers of North East, MD, Thomas Allen of Rising Sun, MD, and Richard Allen of Asheville, NC. a sister: Edna Foreacre and brother: Howard Simpers of both North East, MD. He is also survived by 34 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his Daughter: Barbara "Crickett" Simpers, Brother: Herbert Simpers and Sister: Stella Sakers. Funeral service, conducted by Father Samuel Hartman, will be held Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where there will be a viewing on Wednesday evening, September 14, 2011, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in St. Mary Anne's Cemetery. Following the graveside services there will be a luncheon. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the funeral home to help with expenses.
