Robert Marvin Lynch, 78 of North East, MD, died Thursday, January 31, 2013 in Union Hospital, Elkton, MD.
Born in Bay View, MD, on March 10, 1934, he was the son of the late George and the late Aldine (Akers) Lynch.
Mr. Lynch retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service. During his 20 years, he served in the Vietnam War and worked as a Computer Programmer. After his retirement, he worked at W.L. Gore for 15 years as a carpenter.
He enjoyed woodworking, building clocks and working with stained glass. He was a member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors. Most importantly he enjoyed his family and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years: Mauricealean Lynch; 3 daughters: Donna Faith Shader of Lakewood, NJ, Alena Sue McCall of Townsend, DE, Natashia Kennedy of New Castle, DE; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son: Jesse Lynch.
Funeral service will be held Monday, February 4, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM until service time.
Interment with full military honors will follow in Friends Cemetery, Calvert, MD.
