Robert S. Dragan, 86 of Elkton, MD, died Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at home. Born in Reading, PA, on October 10, 1921, he was the son of the late Stephen and the late Naomi Zieber Dragan. He served during World War II as a Staff Sergeant in the Army. He was a retired bridge construction worker. Mr. Dragan was a graduate in 1940 from Oley Valley High School, Oley, PA; attended Mercy Missionary Baptist Church, Bay View, MD; and was a member of the Rising Sun C.B. Club. Survivors include: his wife: Reeble Sue Dragan of Elkton, MD; three daughters: Barbara A. Shaaber and her husband Tom of Wernersville, PA, Janet E. Erb and her husband Mike of Boyertown, PA and Sandra J. Dragan of Elkton, MD; a stepdaughter: Pam West; one brother: Donald D. Dragan of Onancock, VA; Two Grandchildren: Daniel Erb, Jr. of Boyertown, PA; Lauren Sallade of Sinking Springs, PA; a great-granddaughter, Mikaela D. Sallade of Sinking Springs, PA; 9 step-grandchildren; 15 step-great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his first wife, Josephine J. Dragan, who died in 1999; three brothers: Franklin, James Henry and Kenneth Dragan; and sister: Ethel Thompson. Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 1:30 PM at Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, 38 Covered Bridge Road, Pleasantville, PA. Interment will follow in Bertolet's Union Cemetery, Oley, PA.
