Richard "Rick" Douglas Pinder

Richard “Rick” Douglas Pinder, 72 of Elkton, MD, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 in Christiana Care Hospital, Newark, DE, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Elkton, MD, on July 10, 1951, he was the son of the late, Juanita Eddy Greggo and stepfather James Greggo.

Richard served his country proudly in the U.S. Army Reserves. He retired after 42 years from DuPont as a Supervisor of Planting and Seeding.

He enjoyed spending his time golfing, bowling and playing baseball. Most of all he enjoyed watching his grandson play baseball. He was a member of Leeds Methodist Church, Elkton, MD.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 48 years: Lisa (Fanning) Pinder of Elkton, MD; daughter: Kristin Schneiders (Mike) of North East, MD; brother: Woody Pinder (Sara) of The Villages, FL; stepsister: Christine Howard (Lee) of Lewes, DE; and grandson: Carson Schneiders.

Funeral services will be held at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A. 127 South Main Street, North East, MD Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 4:00pm with visitation beginning at 2:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Leeds Methodist Church, in care of the funeral home.
