Richard Allen Wharton, Sr.

Richard Allen Wharton, Sr., 73 of North East, MD, passed away peacefully at Accent Care in Christiana, DE on October 8, 2022.

Born in Elkton, MD, on May 20, 1949, he was the son of the late Clarence B. Hamilton, Sr.  and Charlotte L. Hamilton.

Mr. Wharton served in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was a lifetime member of the North East Fire Dept.

He is survived by his daughter: Sharon Wharton Hamilton (Glenn) of North East, MD; a son: Richard Wharton, Jr. of FL; siblings: Harry E. Hamilton (Sherri), Terry L. Hamilton, Charlotte D. Hamilton, all of North East, MD; and Clarence Hamilton, Jr. (Lynn) of Lakeland, FL.  He leaves behind 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.  Richard also leaves behind nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends.

Richard enjoyed going to the casino and helping his friends and family.

At Richard’s request, there will be no service.
