Richard D. Mcdaniel, Jr.

Richard D. McDaniel, Jr., 75 of North East, MD, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2022.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, on November 9, 1947, he was the son of the late Richard D. McDaniel, Sr. and Sara (Pusey) McDaniel.

Richard served his country proudly in the U.S. Army.

Prior to his retirement, he was a franchisor with ERA Realty and then with EXIT Realty.  He was a member of the National Board of Realtors.

In his free time, he enjoyed boating, traveling, snow and water skiing, and was a fan of watching both the Baltimore Ravens and VA Tech play.  Most of all he loved his family and simply adored his grandchildren.

Survivors include his loving wife: Carol (Brown) McDaniel; his children: Cami McDaniel, Richard McDaniel III, Rodney Huff and Kelley Huff; his siblings: Nancy Hughes, Amy Argudo, Susan Morrison, David McDaniel; and his two beloved grandchildren: Maggie and Owen.

Memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 1:00 pm at St. Mary Anne's Episcopal Church, 315 South Main Street, North East, MD.  Father John Schaeffer and Bishop James J. Shand will officiate. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm.
