Richard Arlington Lawrence

Richard Arlington Lawrence, 75 of North East, MD, died Tuesday, April 3, 2007 in the Union Hospital Of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. Born in Birmingham, AL, on January 5, 1932, he was the son of the late Arlie and the late Eunice Bradley Lawrence. He was the husband of the late Nancy M. Sanderson Lawrence who died on May 9, 2003. Mr. Lawrence retired from the U.S. Army with over 20 years of service. He was a POW during the Korean Conflict. He was also a Machinist, working for the Edlon Corp. of Avondale, PA. He was a member and Past Commander of V.F.W. Post #6027 of North East, MD. Survivors include one daughter: Terry Meadows and her husband Denny of North East, MD; a grandson, Michael T. Lawrence of Rising Sun, MD; three sisters: Peggy Pearson of Tallahasee, FL, Carol Thomas of Chattanooga, TN and Joyce Tucker of Troy, OH.
