Richard Allan “Mansie” Isaacs, 85 of Perryville, MD, formerly of North East, died Friday, December 2, 2016.

A lifelong resident of Cecil County, he was born in North East on January 30, 1931, the son of the late Lewis Isaac, Sr. and the late Eva (Lockard) Isaac.

Mr. Isaacs served his country proudly in the U.S. Army, Military Police during the Korean Conflict, stationed in Panama.

He retired from Perry Point VA Medical Center where he worked in the Maintenance Department.

He enjoyed riding his Harley, horseback riding, antique cars, fishing, hunting and visiting the North East Town Park.  Most of all he loved spending time with his family whom he loved very dearly.  His faithful dog, Johnny Cash was always by his side.

Survivors include three daughters: Mary Mayse of Perryville, MD, Theresa Laird of Elkton, MD and Betty Laird of North East, MD; a sister: Janet "Sis" Hammer of North East, MD; grandchildren: Michael Schneiders, Tanya Naton, Courtney Heckler, Sarah Riggs, Kelly Hirt, Jamie Laird, and Kenny Laird, Jr. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by seven siblings: Albert "Abby" Isaacs, Punk Isaacs, Otis Isaacs, Sr., Betty McDaniels, Jean Edwards, Lewis "Sonny" Isaacs, Jr., and Doris Wyre.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where the family will receive guests beginning at 10:00 am until service time.

Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
