Richard Elliott Boyd

Richard Elliott Boyd, 68 of Colora, MD, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025.

Born in Alhambra, CA, on May 8, 1956, he was the son of the late Harry W. and the late Zola Mae (Farrington) Boyd.

Richard had worked for several companies throughout his life as a security guard and also loved the years he worked as a yardman for Ritchie Bros.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and anything to do with the outdoors. He enjoyed dressing up and attending the Highland Games and was very proud of the Scottish lineage of the Boyd name. He was a member of the DeMolay as a young man and was Raised as a Freemason of the Cumberland, ME lodge at the age of 23.

Survivors include 3 sons: Allen Boyd of Lewiston, ME, Joshua Boyd of Portland, ME, and Peter Boyd of Port Richey, FL; a daughter: Amanda Stevens of Sarasota, FL; brother: Ronald W. Fossett (Beverly) of North Waterboro, ME; and sister: Bonnie E. Jones (Bob) of Plymouth, MA. He is also survived by his close friends and companions: Jane Bowe, Caylin Poteet, Lea Poteet, and Johnny May.
