Richard Charles Baer, Sr.

Richard Charles Baer, Sr., 68 of North East, MD, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022 at home.

Born in Havre de Grace, MD, on August 6, 1954, he was the son of the late Minnie Clarice Baer.

Richard worked as a home improvement contractor.  He enjoyed riding motorcycles, spending time in nature and animals.  He liked visiting Rehoboth Beach and Ocean City, MD, was an avid people watcher, and enjoyed eating out, especially for breakfast at Guildays or McDonald’s.  He greatly enjoyed yard sales and shopping at ReStores for Habitat for Humanity, visiting over 50 of them around the United States.

Survivors include his spouse: Melanie A. (Preisendanz); two sons: Richard C. Baer, Jr. of Aberdeen, MD and Charles Jason Baer of Perryville, MD; siblings: Taunia Ford of Elkton, MD and Roy Loy Holbrook, Jr. of Elkton, MD; and his granddaughter: Samantha Paige Baer.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, October 30, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Perryville United Methodist Church, 325 Susquehanna Avenue, Perryville, MD, followed by visitation and a meal after the service.
