Rev. Donald Eugene Young
Born in York, PA on August 24, 1923, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester W. Young.
Rev. Young was a retired missionary who served with his late wife through CAM, Central American Missions, now Camino Global.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Rupp Young, who died on November 11, 2011. Together, they worked over 30 years spreading the good news of Jesus Christ to the natives of Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rico and Nicaragua.
After his retirement in 1985, Rev. Young served as Chaplain in the Cecil County Detention Center, Elkton, MD for 13 years, encouraging the inmates to come to the Lord through salvation.
Rev. Young was formerly married to Margaret Moore Young in 1955 who died in 1973.
Services will be held at Grace Bible Chapel, 1949 Biggs Highway, Rising Sun, MD on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be at Grace Bible Chapel from 10:00 AM until the service begins.
Private burial will be in Delaware Veteran’s Cemetery, Bear, DE.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his home church, Grace Bible Chapel, designated to the Mission Fund, in appreciation of their loyal care and support.
