Raymond Francis Motter, 78, of Charlestown, MD, died Sunday, May 1, 2005, in the Union Hospital Of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. Born in Johnstown, PA, on January 21, 1927, he was a son of the late Joseph and Gertrude Partsch Motter. He served during World War II in the Army. Mr. Motter was a machinist, retired from the GM Assembly Plant in Newport, DE. His memberships included the Knights of Colombus in Elkton, MD and the V.F.W. Post 6027 in North East, MD. In his leisure, he enjoyed fishing, boating, traveling to Florida, and spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Susan Motter of Charlestown, MD; children, Timothy R. Motter of Newark, DE, Thomas J. Motter of Kennett Square, PA, David R. Motter of Kenmore, WA, Daniel J Motter of North East, MD, Christine S. Leister of Easton, MD, and Patrick M. Motter of Avondale, PA; siblings, Carl Motter of Johnstown, PA and Gertrude Kohler of North Huntingdon, PA; 19 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandson. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM, Thursday, May 5, 2005, at St. Jude
