Raymond Wesley Bartram, Jr.

Raymond Wesley Bartram, Jr., 82 of Elkton, MD, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, on May 7, 1934, he was the son of the late Raymond Wesley Bartram Sr. and the late Laura (Raker) Bartram.

Mr. Bartram served his country proudly in the U.S. Army from 1955-1957.

Prior to his retirement, he worked at Leeds & Northrop, Fischer & Porter, and Moore Products as a manufacturing engineer.

Mr. Bartram enjoyed crabbing and boating. He was known as a “jack of all trades” and especially enjoyed carpentry work.

Survivors include his wife of over 59 years: Vera Bartram; his three children:  Raymond John Bartram (Cheryl) of Perkasie, PA, Robert Wayne Bartram (Melisa) of Port Deposit, MD, and Susan Eileen Lewis (Robert) of Bear, DE; one sister: Donna Jean Bartram of Harleysville, PA; four grandchildren: Raymond John Jr., Shelly, Shelby and Lyndsey; one great granddaughter: Kaitlynn and one on the way.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
