Ralph Richard Bailiff

Ralph Richard Bailiff, 71, of Bay View, North East, Maryland, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, October 12th, 2026.

Born on January 20, 1955, in Elkton, Maryland, Ralph was the son of the late Theodore R. Bailiff, Sr. and Bessie Lowe Bailiff.

Ralph was a man who appreciated life’s simple pleasures like spending time with family and friends. He thoughtfully kept up with the little details of his loved one’s lives. He regularly attended the SHARE program of Elkton, Maryland and was an active member of Griffith’s AUMP church of Elkton, where he thoroughly enjoyed fellowshipping with his brothers and sisters in Christ.

He was a graduate of North East High School and attended Cecil Community College where he enjoyed pottery and photography. He loved listening to music and watching his favorite daytime TV shows. He was an avid reader and in his later years enjoyed reading and studying the Bible.

He is survived by his brother Jacob C. Bailiff and sister-in-law Marilyn P. Bailiff and niece, Marnie Bailiff of Bay View, Maryland as well as nieces Karen Davis of Cecilton, Laura Bailiff (VA) Tracy Bailiff (AZ) Dawn Bailiff (AL) Danielle Bane (Harford County, MD) and Melanie Bailiff. (NC). Ralph is also survived by nephews “Little John” Bailiff, Sean Ruedi and Jacob Christian Bailiff as well as many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Theodore R. (Ted) Bailiff, Jr., George Bailiff, John Miller Bailiff and nephew, David Bailiff.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 16th, 2026, at 11 a.m. Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, Maryland, where family and friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Bay View Cemetery, Bay View, Maryland.
