Raby Smith Edwards
Born in VA, on March 11, 1932, he was the son of the late Terry and the late Rosezenna (Price) Edwards. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth Irene Edwards who died Oct. 20, 2011.
Raby retired from Thiokol where he worked as a Machinist. In his spare time, he also did carpentry work on the side.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of North East. He was a member of a Country Gospel Music group, playing at the Grange Hall, nursing homes and churches.
Raby also enjoyed bowling, square dancing, camping, fishing and gardening, which he greatly enjoyed having grown up on a farm.
Survivors include his 5 children: Geraldine Lewis of Pilot Point, TX, Wayne Edwards (Misae) of Elkton, MD, Randy Edwards (Cindy) of North East, MD, Keith Edwards (Karen) of Port Deposit, MD, Kevin (Cyndi) Edwards of North East, MD; one sister: Marietta Hanks of Christiansburg, VA; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD where visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
Pallbearers for Mr. Edwards will be his sons: Wayne, Randy, Keith, Kevin and 2 grandsons: Keith, Jr. and Randy, Jr.
Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
