Plummer Thellis Manning

Plummer T. Manning, age 80, of North East, MD, died Wednesday, October 8, 2003, at his home. Born in Pungo, NC, on November 22, 1922 he was the son of the late Charles M. and Cora Lee Alligood Manning. He was a resident of Cecil County, MD for 22 years. Mr. Manning was a retired welder from the Boiler Makers Union in Baltimore, MD. He served in the U.S. Army, with the 82nd Airborne and 307th Engineers from January 22, 1943 until December 20, 1945. He was a life member of the V.F.W. Post 6027, North East, MD, and he was a member of the American Legion Post, Perryville, MD and the Jephtha Lodge # 222 A.F. and A.M., Essex, MD. Mr. Manning is survived by his wife, Patricia A. Manning, North East, MD, daughter, Shelley Marie Manning, Baltimore, MD, step-sons, Ed Leneweaver and his wife, Cathy, Wilmington, DE and Gene Leneweaver and his wife, Laura, Clearwater, Fl, a stepdaughter, Lynn Forness and her husband, Pat, Severna Park, MD, granddaughters; Anne and Mary Leneweaver, grandsons; Kyle, Ryan, Andrew and Bradley Leneweaver and his nephews and nieces, and their families, Tysons Corner, VA and Rocky Mountain, NC. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 11, 2003 at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. Family and friends are invited to visit one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Rev. Jack Little of the Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church, North East, MD will officiate. Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
