Phyllis M. Renninger

Phyllis M. Renninger, 77 of North East, MD, died Sunday, March 29, 2009 in Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. Born in McClure, PA, on November 7, 1931, she was the daughter of the late John A. and the late Elma L. Snyder Romig. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church. Phyllis was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, sewing and caring for her family. Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years, John Bruce Renninger of North East, MD; her children: Virginia McKnight and her husband Robert of North East, MD, Wayne Renninger and his wife Melodie of Abingdon, MD, Terry Renninger and his wife Mary of North East, MD, Diane Beyerling and her husband Glenn of North East, MD, Beverly Cox and her husband Kelsey of North East, MD, Andrew Renninger and his wife Deborah of Elkton, MD; three sisters: Edna Snook of PA, Janice Rohrbaugh of PA, Mae Himel of Canada; three brothers: Harry Romig of VA, Ted Romig and Alan Romig both of PA; 20 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, James Romig, a great granddaughter, Melanie Renninger and son-in-law, Steve Robinette. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday starting at 10:00 AM prior to the service. Rev. Mark Crispell will officiate. Interment will follow in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church, P.O.
