Philip Ricard Cramer

Philip Ricard Cramer, 84 of North East, MD, died Friday, March 11, 2005 in the Laurelwood Nursing Home, Elkton, MD. Born in Dunmore, PA, on October 3, 1920, he was the son of the late Albert and Jeanette Ricard Cramer. Mr. Cramer worked as a self employed farmer, as well as part owner of Cramer's 5&10 and Cramer's Department Store in North East, MD. He was a life time member of the North East Volunteer Fire Department, a member of Harts United Methodist Church, North East, MD, the Brandywine Auto Club, and the Hershey Antique Auto Club. He enjoyed reading, hunting wild life, doing word puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, collecting decoys of ducks and geese, and antique cars. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, the late, Martha Ruth Najunas. Survivors include his wife, Betty Foreaker Cramer; one son, Philip Howard Cramer and wife Lisa; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Cramer and Noelle Cramer; two brother-in-laws, Jack Foreaker and Michael Nojunas; niece, Jeannie Najunas; and nephew, Albert Najunas, all of North East, MD. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD.Friends may call Tuesday, March 15, 2005 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home, and from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 16, 2005, prior to services. Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the North East Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 770, North East, MD 21901, or to Hart's United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 284, North East, MD 21901.
