Phala L. (Shiel) Jianniney

Phala L. Jianniney, 77 of Elkton, MD, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025.

Born in Morgantown, WV, on March 2, 1947, she was the daughter of the late James L. and Phyllis F. (Lee) Shiel.  She was the wife of the late Charles B. Jianniney, Sr. who passed June 4, 2021.

Phala attended Charlestown Missionary Baptist Church, Charlestown, MD.

She is survived by two sons: Charles B. Jianniney, Jr. (Karen) of Elkton, MD and Christopher Jianniney (Jennifer) of Port Deposit, MD; three brothers: Paul Shiel of Elkton, MD, David Shiel of North East, MD and John Shiel of Elkton, MD; her granddaughters: Dharma, Zoe, Keira, Rylee, Jyssica; and great grandchildren: Aubrey, Summer, Savannah, Asher and Dillon.

In addition to her husband and parents, Phala was also preceded in death by two sons: Curtis P. Jianniney and wife: Lisa, and Bobby Jianniney; 2 brothers: Jimmy and Greg Shiel and sister: Sharon Eggers.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, January 31, 2025 at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
