Peggy Lucille (Singleton) Mills

Peggy Lucille Mills, 74 of Perryville, MD, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023 in the Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE.

Born in MD, on July 2, 1949, she was the daughter of the late William and Beatrice Pauline (Hamilton) Singleton.

Prior to retirement, Peggy worked as a Lobby Attendant for Days Inn, Perryville, MD.

She loved doing anything on the water, especially boating, fishing, crabbing. She had a strong work ethic, but enjoyed sitting on her porch, drinking a glass of wine, working puzzles, her cats, decorating her home and was an avid Ravens and Orioles fan.

Survivors include her children: Teresa Mills of Port Deposit, MD, Robert Mills of WV and Brian Mills of Perryville, MD; brother: David Singleton of SC; sister: Garnet Parker of Aberdeen, MD; daughter-in-law: Laurie Haynes of SC; 7 grandchildren: Matthew, Charles, Mackenzie, Damien, Jensyn, Taylor, Mark; and great grandchildren: Kennedy, Jaxson and Natalie.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was also preceded in death by her companion of many years: Robert S. Mitchell; and her birth mother: Bernadine Singleton.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 12 noon until 4 pm at the North East Town Park, Gilbert Lighthouse Pavilion.
