Pauline June (Wade) Wood

Pauline June Wood, 84 of Elk Neck, near North East, MD, died Monday, January 28, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Clarksburg, WV, on September 21, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Arlie R. and the late Nellie (Hennen) Wade.  She was the wife of the late William L. Wood who died January 23, 2007.

Pauline worked alongside her husband on their dairy farm while raising their family.  She was a member of Hart’s UM Church, Elk Neck, MD.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, canning, gardening, ceramics, quilting and needlepoint.

Survivors include 3 daughters: Donna Wood, Elizabeth Parker both of North East, MD and  Doris Behnke and her husband Eric of Elkton, MD; 3 siblings: James Wade of Salisbury, MD, Doris Posey of WV and Richard W. Wade of AR; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Pauline was also preceded in death by 7 siblings: Betty Jean Caynor, Gladys Pinder, Mary Ruth Malone, Arlie R. Wade, Jr., Jack, Donnie  and Bobby Wade.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 1, 2013 from 6:00PM until 8:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Hart's United Methodist Church, 3203 Turkey Point Road, North East

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
