Pauline Castella Wiggins

Pauline Castella Wiggins, 86 of Elkton, MD, died Monday, February 28, 2005 at home.Born in Beckley, WV, on August 7, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Basil Eugene and the late Ada Cleo Martin Osborne, Sr. She was a resident of Cecil County since 1947. She was also known as the longest living member of the Charlestown Missionary Baptist Church.Mrs. Wiggins was the wife of the late, Joseph H. Wiggins, who died in 1981.Survivors include her children, Beverly J. Zielinski of Westminster, MD, Brenda J. Thomas, and Dawana L. Humphries, both of Elkton, MD, Dorothy A. Luckett of Frankford, KY, Jeffrey D. Wiggins and Barbara M. Collins both of North East, MD; sister, Frances Corron of Charlestown, MD; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by late siblings, Irene Workman, Hilda Carroll, Basil Osborne, Jr, Alice Jones, Martin Osborne, and Arlis Copen.Funeral services will be held Friday, March 4, 2005 at 2:00 PM at Charlestown Missionary Baptist Church, 1168 West Old Philadelphia Road, Charlestown, MD.Friends may call Thursday, March 3, 2005 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the church.The Rev. Dennis R. Gilbert, Sr. of Charlestown Missionary Baptist Church will officiate.Interment will follow services in Harford Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen, MD. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Northern Chesapeake Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 2332, Elkton, MD 21922-2332.
