Paul Robert ‘Bobby’ Spotswood, 71 of Marysville near North East, MD, died Tuesday, June 18, 2013.
A lifelong resident of Cecil County, he was born on May 19, 1942, the son of the late Thomas J. and the late Ruth Ann (Boulden) Spotswood.
Mr. Spotswood served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army.
Prior to his retirement, he worked as a truck driver and warehouseman at Aberdeen Proving Ground. In his early years, he worked at Foster’s Esso in North East.
He was one of the founding members and deacon of Word of the Bride Tabernacle, New Castle, DE.
Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years: Margie Kerns Spotswood of North East, MD; and his son: Stephen Kerns Spotswood and his wife Jessica of Washington, DC.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. David Whisman will be held on Monday, June 24, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM.
Interment will follow services in Rose Bank Cemetery, Calvert, MD.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Word of the Bride Tabernacle Building Fund or Amedisys Hospice, both in care of the funeral home.
