Patricia Edwards Dean

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Edwards Dean, beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, who left this world on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at the age of 91. Patricia was born on December 10, 1933, in North East, MD, where she spent her life surrounded by the warmth of family and friends.

Patricia was a dedicated legal secretary at the law office of Joseph Mahoney and Richard Eli Jackson in Elkton, MD. Beyond her professional life, she found joy in her passions, singing in her church choir, tending to her garden, horses, and playing the piano. But above all, Patricia valued the time spent with her family, creating cherished memories with her daughters, Jody Collins of North East, MD, and Cindy (Dean) Rhoads of Conowingo, MD, as well as her 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved husband John Summerfield Dean, and her parents Clifton and Rebecca (Smith) Edwards.

Patricia leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The funeral service to honor Patricia's life will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with a public viewing taking place the evening prior on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Following funeral services, she will be laid to rest at North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.

In this time of sorrow, we remember Patricia not just for her passing, but for the countless moments of joy she brought into our lives. Her spirit will live on through the love she shared and the memories we hold dear.
