Parke H. John

Parke H. John, 92 of North East, MD, died Thursday, April 12, 2012 at home. Born in Reading, PA, on June 23, 1919, he was the son of the late Raymond and the late Helen Schuyler John. He was the husband of Jenny B. John who passed Aug. 4, 2002. He served during World War II in the Army as a Tech 3rd Grade, Medical Detachment, 319th Infantry Regiment 80th Division. Before his retirement, Parke was Vice President of Quinlan Pretzel Co, Denver, PA. He was a Life Member of VFW Post 6027, North East, MD. Survivors include his children: Cynthia A. McCauley of Elkton, MD and Parke H. John of North East, MD; 2 grandchildren: Seth McCauley and his wife, Larissa of Perry Hall, MD and Brea Duty and her husband Brian of Parkville, MD; and 3 great grandchildren: Ethan Richard, Logan Parke and Jenna Mae. Private graveside services will be held on Monday, April 16, 2012 at North East United Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
