Otis R. Macomber, Jr., 83 of Elkton, MD, died Friday, November 9, 2012 at home.
Born in West Port Point, MA, on May 19, 1929, he was the son of the late Otis R. Macomber, Sr. and the late Jennie Eve (Walton) Macomber.
Mr. Macomber served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired from Aberdeen Proving Ground where he worked as a Training Specialist.
He attended Jane’s United Methodist Church, Rising Sun, MD and Fairview Lutheran Church, Gore, VA. He enjoyed boating.
Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years: Lois Macomber; 2 sons: Steve Macomber of Earleville, MD, Mike Macomber and his wife Robin of Bel Air, MD; 4 grandchildren: Robert Macomber of Earleville, MD, Zach, Kendall and Karley Macomber all of Bel Air, MD; a great grandson: Easton Abrecht also of Bel Air, MD; and 2 brothers: Frank Macomber of Winchester, VA and Charles Macomber of Gore, VA.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Angie Macomber.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 12, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 12:00 Noon at Jane’s United Methodist Church, 213 North Walnut Street, Rising Sun, MD
Interment will follow in Harford Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen, MD.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, in care of Crouch Funeral Home, P.A.
