Norvell 'Smudgie" (Lee) Mayo

Norvell “Smudgie” Lee Mayo, 84 passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016 in Elkton.

She was born August 4, 1931, in Front Royal, VA, daughter of Wyndham Lee and Margaret Frances Downing Lee.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Preston “Pat” Mayo, a son Michael Mayo and niece Beverly Farrar Dudeck.

Mrs. Mayo is survived by her daughter, Gay Mayo and husband, James Rade; three grandchildren, Dale Lent of Mountain Top, PA, Larry Lent and wife Michele of Elkton, MD and Patricia Mayo of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; her sister, Carol Farrar of Mr. Pleasant, SC; and nephew, Wyndham Farrar of Arden, NC.

Her family and friends, Frances, Joan, Chris and the family of Joe North will especially miss her story telling and the laughter she spread.

She will be buried with her beloved husband in Fl. Lauderdale, FL.
