Norman Scott, 78 of North East, MD, died Saturday, April 8, 2017 in his home.

Born in Silver Spring, MD, on June 17, 1938, he was the son of Louis Clarence and Ruth (Montgomery) Scott and grew up in Washington, DC.

He joined the Air Force in 1955 where he was a member of the Air Force Band, playing the saxophone.  A graduate of Evangel College and the University of Baltimore Law School, he worked as a Criminal Defense Attorney in Philadelphia.

Norman, a history buff who enjoyed reading, was a member of St. Mary Anne’s Episcopal Church, where he was a Lay Reader and served on the Vestry.  He was a member of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, the Brehon Law Society and also recently served on the Board of Directors of Cecil County Library.

Survived by his wife: Patricia Scott; daughter: Shay Weddell of Culpeper, VA; grandchildren: Brittany Weddell of Jackson, NJ, Andrew Weddell of Bourne, MA and Holly Weddell of Bourne, MA.

Memorial service will be held Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Mary Anne's Episcopal Church, 315 South Main Street, North East, MD.

Interment with military honors, will be in Christine Cameron Memorial Garden in St. Mary Anne's Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the St. Mary Anne’s Episcopal Church in care of Crouch Funeral Home, 127 S. Main St. North East, MD  21901.
