Norman James Demond, Sr.

Norman James Demond, Sr., 86 of North East, MD, died Thursday, April 15, 2010. Born in North East, MD, on December 16, 1923, he was the son of the late Ernest Leon Demond, Sr. and the late Bessie C. Jones Demond. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. He worked at Glenn L. Martin, assembling aircraft. Survivors include his children: Paul S. Demond of Bel Air, MD, Bess Ann McDaris of Canton, GA, Norman James Demond, Jr. of Jarrettsville, MD, and Jennie Ann MacDonald of Litchfield, NH; 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty J. Shepherd and two brothers, Albert Demond and E. Leon DeMond, Jr. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD with visitation for family and friends beginning at 10:00 AM.
