Norma Lee (Wharton) Dean

Norma Lee Dean, 76 of Elkton, MD, died Friday, March 11, 2016.

Born in Wilmington, DE, on June 25, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Edwin B. and Genevieve Mae (Savage) Wharton.

Norma was the office manager for Dean Concrete for many years.

Mrs. Dean enjoyed the beach, swimming, crocheting and animals, especially cats and dogs. At one time she was raising 21 birds.

She is survived by two daughters: Terri Gene Raymond of North East, MD, and Wende Lee Allen of Elkton, MD and one son: Jaylen Lee Dean of North East, MD; a sister: Gene J. Ragan of North East, MD. Norma is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Edgar Lee Dean who passed September 20, 2000.

Funeral service, conducted by Rev. Bert Jicha, will be held 10:00 am Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. There will be a viewing for family and friends one hour before the service.

Interment will be in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
