Norma Jean (Jones) Cliff

Norma Jean Cliff, 86 of Newark, DE, formerly of North East, MD passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Elkton Nursing and Rehab, Elkton, MD.

Born in Charlestown, MD, on July 28, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Idella G. (Norman) Jones.

Norma retired from Aberdeen Proving Ground after 20 years of service in the Service Procurement Department.

She was a long standing member of North East Methodist Church, North East, MD.  She enjoyed traveling to Ocean City, MD. What she loved most of all was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her four daughters: Dawn Crotsley (Steve) of Newark, DE, Diane Cornell of Hamilton, NJ, Leslie Hernandez (Matt) of New London, PA and Ruth Matthews (Paul) of Oxford, PA; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her brother: Charles "Jackie" Jones; and her grandson: Eli Seth Matthews

Funeral service will be held Monday, January 24, 2022 at 12:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 11:30 am.

Interment will follow in Charlestown Cemetery, Charlestown, MD.
