Naomi Barton Hoke

Naomi Barton Hoke, 83 of North East, MD, died Saturday, October 3, 2009 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Grundy, VA, on June 11, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Emerson Barton, Sr. and the late Virgie Bostic Barton. Survivors include her children: Virgie Crabtree and her husband Emerson of North East, MD, Christeen Kiebler and her husband Johnny of Elkton, MD, Nadine Crabtree and her husband LeRoy of North East, MD, Curtis Barton, Sr. and his wife Sandy of LaBelle, FL, and James Barton and his wife Kitty of Orlando, FL; 21 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband Walter Barton; and 3 sons: Walter E. Barton, Johnny Barton and Carson Barton. Funeral service will be held Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Rev. Belcher "Tramp" Joe Stanley, Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD. Flowers are welcome. Donations may also be made to help with funeral expenses, in care of Crouch Funeral Home.
