Nancy “Lynn” Dabler, of Colora, MD, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024, in her home surrounded by her family. Lynn was born in Elkton, MD on February 22, 1952 and grew up in North East. She was the daughter of the late James T. Poore. Sr and Agnes M. Poore, also of North East, MD.
Lynn will be forever remembered for her fierce love of family and friends. An amazing cook, she loved hosting family dinners and celebrations for her loved ones. Her homemade rolls and desserts were legendary. Lynn never met a stranger and could lighten a room with her beautiful smile. An avid Baltimore Ravens fan, she was known to coach the team from her favorite recliner in boisterous fashion. After her retirement from the United States Department of Agriculture, Lynn enjoyed many activities with her family sharing her love of the beach, reading, gardening, bird watching, and puzzle solving. She was a gift to all of us and our memories will be cherished each day.
Lynn is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 45 years, John “Jack” Dabler of Colora, MD, her daughter, Shannon H. Cameron (Taylor) of Middletown, DE, her son, John W. Dabler, Jr. (Tina) of Conowingo, MD, and five beautiful grandchildren. Lynn is also survived by two brothers, James T. Poore, Jr. of North East and Jeffrey P. Poore of Elk Mills. She was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Lee Poore.
All services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center.
