Nancy Hope Bundy Asbury Cassidy March 29, 1934 - October 13, 2025 

Nancy Hope Bundy Asbury Cassidy of North East, MD went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 13, 2025. She passed peacefully at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware at age 91. Born March 29, 1934 in Tazewell County, VA, she was a daughter of the late William Reece "Bill" and Elsie Viola Taylor Bundy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Peery Robert Asbury in 1966; second husband, John (Jack) Cassidy in 2003; brother, Jack Bundy and three sisters, Kathleen Corley, Betty Vanhoozier and Virginia Bundy.

In her lifetime, Nancy loved spending her time with family and friends. The dinner table was a gathering place filled with laughter, love, and many card games. She enjoyed teaching at a one room schoolhouse in Tazewell, VA prior to moving to Chester, PA. In 1970, Nancy moved to Newark, DE and began her career at the University of Delaware. She worked at the University for 27 years in the Housing, AG Hall, and Personnel Departments. Nancy had a passion for bowling, and at one time owned the Brookside Bowling Alley Pro Shop with her husband, Jack. After retirement she worked as a bank teller at Mercantile County Bank and PNC in North East, MD.

She is survived by her daughter, Robin Asbury Davis and husband, Randy of Trinity, NC; two sisters, Janice Morehead of Lambsburg, VA and Jeraline Clyburn of Tazewell, VA; two grandchildren, Rachel Brucker and husband, Edward (Ted) of Glenshaw, PA and Robert (Rob) Davis and girlfriend Rhianon Brady of Greensboro, NC; two great grandchildren, Leo and Henri Brucker; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025 from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM at St. Jude's Catholic Church, 928 Turkey Point Road, North East, MD, with interment at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.
