Muriel J. Hess

Muriel J. Hess, 73 of Port Deposit, MD, died Sunday, October 11, 2009 at her daughter's home. Born in Baltimore, MD, on February 6, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Milton E. and the late Hilda E. Jeffries Johnson. She was the wife of the late Paul E. Hess, Jr. who died on March 6, 1998. She retired from Peebles Dept. Store in Elkton, MD where she worked in sales. She was a member of St. Mary Anne's Episcopal Church, North East, MD and the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 8185, Port Deposit, MD. She enjoyed quilting with her friends and spending time with her family. Survivors include her two daughters: Janet H. Mortus and her husband Terry of Conowingo, MD, Linda Prevost and her husband Keith of Conowingo, MD; her grandchildren: John Paul, Arael, Gunther, Trevor, and Sara; and her great grandchildren: Madison and Logan. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at 12:00 Noon at St. Mary Anne's Episcopal Church, 315 South Main Street, North East, MD. Interment will follow in St. Mary Anne's Cemetery, North East, MD.
