Mitchel L. Henderson

Mitchel L. Henderson, also known as Mike, 57, died peacefully at home on Friday, January 27th after a long battle with cancer. He was born in KY, on October 7, 1954. He was a Facilitator at Pennsylvania Machine Works in Aston, PA. He enjoyed tinkering with old cars, listening to music, especially country and oldies. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his very large extended family and his many friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years: Patricia L. Jensen Henderson of North East, MD; 3 daughters: Dawn E. Henderson of North East, MD, Michelle L. McKinney and husband Philip of Ramstein, Germany and Lisa Kerns and husband Patrick of Elkton, MD; his grandchildren: Andrew, Cody and Tabetha Zepp, Jeremy, Mitchell and Jacob McKinney, Gregory and Natalie Jones and Mary and Wilson Kerns; his brothers and sisters: Jackie & Bobby Polivick, Danny & Bonnie Henderson, Brenda & Jimmy McCool, David & Beverly Douell, Catherine & Kevin Shields, Sandra Williams, Tina & Stacy Fields and Tracye Holt. Mike was preceded in death by his grandson, Billy Zepp; mother, Mable Ruth Kasby, and stepfathers Buck Buchanan and Gilbert Dowell. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. A time for visitation and viewing will follow the service. Fellowship and sharing of Mike's life will continue at Good Shepherd School in Perryville at the conclusion of the service and visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home.
